Stephen Fry fact-checking Theresa May’s Brexit? Sign us up.
The latest video of Stephen Fry’s series of Brexit takedowns has been released, and it’s a good one.
In the past we’ve seen him ask the question the question: “Who profits from the hate around Brexit and Trump’s border wall of lies?”, and in the first video of the series, he fact-checked some of the myths around the whole thing.
And in this most recent edition, he looks at the subject of poll results, and whether or not they are accurate.
He also criticises Theresa May’s current tactics, as well as Brexit as a whole.
Certain highlights from the video include Fry passionately accusing May of being able to lie through her teeth, saying:
“May has mastered the art of lying with a grain of truth. Everyone wants Brexit to be over with, but when she says ‘You won’t this stage of the Brexit process to be over and done with, I agree. I am on your side’, is she backing public opinion or blocking it?”

Fry shared the video on Twitter, alongside the caption: “Can we believe the polls? Hard to believe the politicians who so consistently misrepresent them. It all seems to be tending to one answer… let’s find out what people really, unambiguously think.”
