It’s obvious from the weather in the background that the photo below from Salthill wasn’t taken today or yesterday, but new or not we thought it too good not to bring to your attention.
When Mark White got his camera out at Salthill pier in Galway during the spell of brilliant weather we were blessed with last month, he no doubt figured he’d have a great memento of just how good summer can be in Ireland when the sun comes out.
While that was exactly what he got, he also timed the picture perfectly to capture one of the best and funniest optical illusions we’ve seen in a long time. For while some people looking at the photo below will see a man (in the red shorts) diving head first into the water, others will spot a very small man doing a handstand on the head of the guy in the black hoodie at the front of the shot.
Brilliant.
