Britain’s worst rapist has been ‘attacked in prison’

Charlie Herbert

‘He is a clear target in prison because of his depraved crimes’

The most prolific rapist in the UK was reportedly attacked in prison earlier this year.

Reynhard Sinaga is serving a minimum of 40 years behind bars after he was convicted of 159 sex offences including 136 rapes of young men in January 2020.

Now, the Sun reports that he has been attacked in prison in a “planned hit.”

According to the publication, Sinaga narrowly escaped serious injury during the attack in July, with a source saying the rapist is “arrogant and universally loathed.”

They said: “He is a clear target in prison because of his depraved crimes.

“He was seconds away from extremely serious harm. He is in danger.”

Prison guards are said to have stepped in to stop the attack. A 32-year-old prisoner, Jack McRae, has been charged with attempted GBH with intent of Sinaga, who has since been moved to HMP Frankland in County Durham.

The 41-year-old spent years drugging and raping men at his flat in Manchester. He would target men who were drunk and alone outside night clubs before luring them back to his, where he would offer them a drink laced with GHB.

Many of his victims had little to no memory of being attacked because they were drugged by Sinaga, who filmed the horrific acts.

His attacks were completely unknown to police until June 2017, when one of his victim woke as he was being raped and fought Sinaga off.

A mugshot released in 2021 showed Sinaga’s battered face after his victim fought back.

Once he reported what had happened to police, Sinaga’s serial offending became apparent. Investigators found evidence linking him to more than 200 potential victims.

Having initially been jailed for a minimum of 30 years, his sentence was increased to 40 years in December 2020.
