A woman over in London got a little bit more than she bargained for after purchasing bananas from a well-known supermarket.

It’s not everyday that you find the world’s most venomous spiders crawling over the fresh produce that you bought from the supermarket, but that’s exactly what happened to 29-year-old Consi Taylor from London.

Mrs Taylor bought the bananas from her local Sainsbury’s who initially offered her a £10 voucher in compensation.

According to Mrs Taylor, she only realised the immediate danger when she sent a picture of the spiders to a pest control company who told her to get out of Dodge, fast.

Speaking to The Sun, Mrs Taylor said: “I thought it was mould but when I had a closer look I saw some funny looking spots.

“I had a closer look and was horrified to see they were spiders. They were hatching out on the table, scurrying around on my carpet.”

In fairness to Sainsbury’s they paid for the Taylors’ home to be fumigated and also for the family to stay in a hotel while the work was carried out.

Here’s a video that will help to explain a little more about the world’s most venomous spider…
