The Brazilian national had been missing since 6 March.

The body of Caique Trindade De Oliveira was recovered by the Garda Water Unit on Monday, 26 March in the Clondalkin area.

24-year-old Trindade De Oliveira was reported missing from Clondalkin on 6 March 2018. He was reported to be wearing a black t-shirt, a black jacket and black Adidas runners. Caique, a Brazilian national, was approximately 5’10’’ tall with brown eyes and black hair which is shaven at the sides.

The Garda investigation had included a review of CCTV footage and had failed to track Caique’s movements since he left his home. They have established that there have been no transactions on his bank account.

Since he was reported missing, his mother had travelled from Brazil to held Gardaí to locate her son. His body was finally located in west Dublin on Monday afternoon.

An Garda Síochána would like to thank all the volunteers and search agencies who were involved in the search for Caique, and also to the media in their coverage of the appeals for assistance.

A GoFundMe page set up in his honour of which funds raised will be used to support Caique’s mother.
