CCTV ‘strictly forbidden’ in attempt to identify €2.9m lotto winner

Lottery bosses say no to CCTV

Time is running out for one lucky/unlucky lotto jackpot winner.

The winning €3 Quick Pick ticket was purchased in a Claremorris Tesco in Mayo back in November of 2014 and it managed to scoop the person in question a handsome €2.9 million.

The numbers drawn for the winning ticket in question were: 7, 8, 18, 28, 35, 39 and the bonus was 37.

The hunt is still on for the lucky jackpot winner who has yet to come forward.

You might think that the easiest way to find the person in question would be to check CCTV footage from the day in question. Right?

According to a report by Cróna Esler in the Western People, bosses from the National Lottery have said that Lotto agents across the country are ‘strictly forbidden’ from using CCTV to identify winners, even if the person is about to lose out on a massive jackpot.

Could you imagine finding the ticket on Saturday morning?

The jackpot winner has until the close of business on Friday (5.30pm) to present themselves and their ticket at the National Lottery HQ in Dublin.

Time is ticking…
