Climate scientists to issue dire warning over global warning

scientist warning

This report is the first of its kind since 2013.

The fires, floods and extreme weather seen around the world in recent months are just the beginning of what we can expect if global warming continues, scientists have said.

The world’s leading authority on climate change, The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), will publish a report on Monday morning to warn of an imminent and dire risk to the global climate system.

The report is expected to include an up-to-date assessment of how global warming will change the world in the coming decades:

It will detail the significant changes expected to the world’s oceans, ice caps and land in the coming decades.

There is also expected to be an analysis of humanity’s role in creating the climate crisis.

It’s also thought it will outline how global temperatures are set to rise 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels and explain why this is huge significant.

The paper is also expected to link the rise in extreme weather events to rising temperatures.

It will also likely outline how current carbon neutral targets will not be enough to prevent disaster.

The IPCC, made up of hundreds of the world’s foremost climate scientists, publishes comprehensive assessments about every seven years, the last of which came in 2013.

The body doesn’t actually conduct its own scientific research, but instead looks at different studies that have been published.
