Cork Lotto player wins €3.6 million jackpot ahead of major game change

The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased online on Tuesday, just one day before the draw.

Last nights winning numbers (Wednesday, September 2) were 02, 13, 37, 38, 41, 46 and the bonus was 18.

Additionally, last night's draw marked the final farewell to numbers 46 and 47, as a new Lotto chapter begins this weekend with 45 balls now in play.

The National Lottery has confirmed the winner has been contacted by email and advised to check their account.

The Cork winner should then contact the Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or [email protected] to arrange collection of their prize at Lottery Headquarters.

Commenting on the big win, Sarah Orr, spokesperson for the National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr said: “The midweek draw saw an online player in Cork win the jackpot which was worth an incredible €3,641,884.

"We are encouraging all of our online players in Cork to carefully check their accounts today as one person now has a jackpot amount waiting to be claimed.”

The rebel county player joins the list as the sixth jackpot winner of the year, alongside wins from players Mayo, Dublin (3) and Offaly.
