The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon.

A female cyclist has died following a collision in west Cork. The woman, who was from west Cork, was struck by a car at around 1pm near Shepperton Lake, between Leap and Skibbereen. She was in her late 40s. The woman's body has now been taken to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
