It is Ireland’s first Lotto jackpot win of 2023.

One lucky punter has become Ireland’s first Lotto jackpot winner of 2023 and is set to receive a life-changing prize of €11,106,438.

The winning ticket for Wednesday night’s draw was sold in Limerick and the National Lottery is now urging players in the county to check their tickets.

In a statement, the National Lottery also confirmed that the winner has yet to make contact.

The winning numbers for the 4 January draw were 18, 29, 36, 38, 40 and 43 while the bonus was 30.

In order to claim their prize, the Limerick winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe, as well as to make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or via email at [email protected].

Arrangements will then be made for the winner to claim their prize.

The National Lottery has said it will reveal the winning store at a celebratory event in Limerick on Friday morning.

In total, over 82,000 players won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws on Wednesday night.

“This is an absolutely dream start to 2023 for one of our players in Co. Limerick,” a National Lottery spokesperson said.

“In the past 12 months, we have seen an incredible 19 millionaires made in the Lotto game alone but this is certainly one of the biggest.”
