Dan Carter has been busy the past couple of days contacting Irish lads, but this latest gesture is a sign of true class.
By Declan Whooley
Last night we showed you the video the All Blacks legend posted to young George Morgan after he saw the Dubliner’s trick shot video and was mightily impressed.
While that put him well up in our estimation, his message of support last night to Donal Walsh was an even more impressive gesture from the gifted out-half.
Terminally ill Donal is just 16, and he is in his third battle with cancer in four years. He has undergone two cancer treatments, but on each occasion it reappeared and has now moved into his lung.
What has marked Donal out has been his unwavering optimism, which has inspired many throughout the country, including Munster’s Paul O’Connell.
Dan Carter got wind of the fact that Donal said he would love to visit New Zealand, and was quick to leave a message of goodwill for the Kerry hero.

Another fantastic gesture from the imperious out-half.
