Last night’s big gig in Phoenix Park turned very nasty as a number of stabbings and assaults took place.
Over 45,000 people turned up at the Phoenix Park yesterday to enjoy a pretty tasty concert line-up that included Snoop Dogg and Swedish House Mafia. With the weather a lot better than expected it should have been a cracking night out.
Instead, the night ended with many people in hospital after stabbings and assaults in the crowd. Newstalk are reporting that a 23-year-old male has been arrested after seven people were injured by knife attacks during the concert.
All were taken to hospital and one remains in James Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown while Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
Tonight Florence and the Machine and Snow Patrol play the venue.
