Sometimes it's worth reminding ourselves, especially when it's this bloody cold, that the aul sod is a nice enough place after all.

While it's absolutely freezing outside, it's a good a time as any to remind ourselves both what the sun looks like and what a picturesque place we live in here in Ireland.
These photos taken through a tilt-shift lens make some of the most iconic Dublin sights appear like a little toy town, and the results are pretty spectacular. The project was put together by a group of students at the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown, and they've totally transformed these images of the city.
Some of the places in the shots include Tara Street DART station, the Docks, and the Ha'penny Bridge, which we can admire from the comfort of our desks with a warm cuppa.
