The collision occurred at approximately 7am on Sunday morning.

A cyclist in his 40s has died as a result of a collision with a car in Waterford on Sunday morning. Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred in the townland of Kilcop on the Dunmore Road in Waterford on Sunday morning, 3 December. The collision between the car and the cyclist occurred at approximately 7am. The cyclist, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has since been removed to University Hospital Waterford. This stretch of road is currently closed pending an examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
