Cyclist killed after collision with a bus in Dublin

Very sad news.

A man in his 40s has died following a collision between a cyclist and a bus in Dublin.

The collision occurred at Kilshane Cross in Newtown on Tuesday, 4 May at approximately 7.20am.

The cyclist was seriously injured during the collision and was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, where he died on Tuesday evening.

A technical examination of the scene has now been completed by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward. Any road users who were travelling in the Newtown area from Kilshane Cross to Dublin Airport, between 7am and 8am on Tuesday morning, and who may have camera footage (including dash cam), are asked to make it available to Gardaí.
