McFly member Danny Jones has issued a statement following the alleged 'drunken kiss' between him and former Love Island star Maura Higgins at a BRITs after party.
The pair, who starred alongside each other in last year's I'm A Celebrity, made headlines after appearing to lock lips at Universal Music's party in footage obtained by The Sun.
Jones has now issued a statement addressing the situation, apologising to his wife Georgia Horsley and his family.
“Hello everyone. Sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me," he wrote on Instagram.
“I want to deeply apologise to my wife for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.
“I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny.”
Jones has been with Horsley, a former Miss England model, for over 15 years, and they married in 2014. They share a seven-year-old son together.
The pair have been seen together since the scandal.
