DART text alert antisocial behaviour

Several stops will be out of action until early next week.

DART services across a number of stops will not be available for use this weekend due to fire damage at station’s equipment rooms.

Iarnród Éireann have released a full statement on the issue, as well as providing details for alternative travel routes for customers:

“Iarnród Éireann advises customers that, due to fire damage to a signalling equipment room in Bray, rail services are suspended between Dalkey and Greystones until further notice.

The fire occurred on the evening of Friday 18 May at approximately 23:30, and is believed to have started within the relay room, and was not as a result of vandalism or criminal damage.

Services are affected as follows:

– DARTs are suspended between Dalkey and Greystones. Dublin Bus will accept rail tickets – customers are advised to transfer to/from Dublin Bus services at Dun Laoghaire. Services are operating between Dalkey and Howth/Malahide, though some minor delay is possible.

– Dublin Connolly to Rosslare Europort services will have bus transfers between Connolly and Greystones.
Iarnród Éireann signalling teams are assessing the damage and repairs required, but have indicated that services will remain suspended at least for the remainder of the weekend (Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 May).

Further updates will be provided as soon as available. Customers can check for updates at www.irishrail.ie or @irishrail on twitter.

Iarnród Éireann apologises to customers for the inconvenience caused.”
