A very Irish problem.
Iarnród Éireann has alerted commuters that anyone travelling from Waterford to Dublin’s Heuston Station can expect delays on Wednesday morning.
As of 7am on Wednesday morning, trains on the route have been held up by a single cow on the tracks.
On their official Twitter account, Iarnród Éireann wrote: “Waterford to Heuston service – expect delays due to a cow on the line. We are responding accordingly to get the line cleared as soon as possible.”

They also put in the obligatory shift of making a cow pun for the day that’s in it.
We did, but we are not sure he herd us!!

It’s not the first time that cows have interrupted this particular service, and trains were briefly suspended in July of last year after one hit a cow on the Waterford-Heuston route.
