The legendary actress was perhaps best known for her performance in Game of Thrones.

Diana Rigg has died at the age of 82.

The iconic actress worked in movies and television for over 50 years, and may be most known for The Avengers (TV series), and most recently her work on Game of Thrones, where she played the magnificent character Olenna Tyrell.

Rigg is also known for playing Tracy, the only woman who became Mrs James Bond, in the 1969 film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

The BBC reported that she had passed away peacefully on Thursday morning.

It is believed that she was at home with her family, who have asked for privacy at this difficult time.

She was made a CBE in 1988 and a Dame in 1994 for her services to drama.

Rigg also won BAFTA awards, and Tony Awards for her work both on stage and on the small screen.
