If you fancy a swim on the east coast this weekend, there are three beaches to stay well away from.
Irish Water and Dublin City Council have warned people not to bathe or swim at Dollymount Strand, Sandymount Strand and Merrion Strand.
Extreme rainfall has caused an overflow at the Ringsend Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Ailesbury Pumping station, according to the Independent.
The overflows were not described as major, but for the time being swimmers are being advised to avoid the water at those beaches.
