Family looking for information after dog tortured to death in Wicklow

A poster circulating online is appealing for information related to the kidnapping and torture of a dog in Baltinglass, Wicklow.

According to the poster, a dog by the name of Buddy was taken from a garden in Weavers Square on Monday 28 October in the area. The incident occurred in the evening.

The poster further specifies that the dog was beaten, kicked and had his tail ripped off before he was left outside a garage. The dog was brought to a vet, but died from his injuries.

The notice, which has now been shared widely on social media, says:

“We would really appreciate any information to help identify those responsible for this horrendous act of cruelty on this defenceless family pet.”

It also notes that an unspecified reward is being offered for “genuine information.”
