Presenter Doireann Garrihy has confirmed she is returning to RTÉ 2FM after quitting the station in 2024.
The shock return comes after the national broadcaster announced its 2025 lineup.
The Dancing with the Stars presenter confirmed she's returning to radio because it is where her heart is.
She wrote on Instagram, "SOME NEWS in the form of 2FM DRIVE with Doireann Garrihy.
"I am so beyond excited to tell you I am BACK," she said.
Doireann confirmed her show will air weekdays from 3pm to 6pm.
"Radio is where my heart is, and absence has only made the heart grow fonder," she told her followers.
"It is an absolute dream come true to have my very own show.
"I CANNOT WAIT to put my own stamp on it, to rise at a reasonable hour, and to be back with you, the listeners. Bring it on," Doireann added.
The surprise move comes just months after Doireann stepped down from presenting the 2FM Breakfast Show.
This was around the same time as when fellow hosts The 2 Johnnies and Jennifer Zamparelli left the station, with the string of departures being dubbed an "exodus".
Carl Mullan, Roz Purcell, and Aisling Bonner we're also announced to now be presenting the breakfast programme.
Head of 2FM, Dan Healy stated, "I’m really excited to launch our daytime schedule with new and familiar voices on 2FM as we welcome back Doireann to present our new Drivetime show and look forward to Carl, Roz, and Aisling as our new breakfast hosts."
The new schedule will launch next month.
