The cartoon of Donald Trump resulted in Michael de Adder losing his job at a number of newspapers.
Cartoonist Michael de Adder has been let go from a number of publications for releasing an image of Donald Trump that has been deemed inappropriate.
The artist announced the news that he was let go from all newspapers in New Brunswick, Canada, following a massive reaction to the cartoon he released during the week.
The highs and lows of cartooning. Today I was just let go from all newspapers in New Brunswick. #editorialcartooning #nbpoli #editorialcartooning

The cartoon in question showed Donald Trump asking what appears to be a dead migrant father and daughter if he can “play through” them on the golf course. Take a look here:

He has since received support from a number of celebrities, including Luke Skywalker himself Mark Hamill, who claimed the drawing was “Pullitzer Prize-worthy”.
I draw Donald Trump today but there was a time I drew tie fighters all day. I thank you but there's a 10 year old kid in me who's mind was just blown. https://t.co/Iuikuc5Snu

De Adder claimed that the most difficult part of the entire situation was that his mother with dementia has a hard time remembering her family at times, but that part of her daily routine is to open her local paper and see her son’s cartoon, which will no longer be there.
The cartoon is in reference to an image that was shared widely of an El Salvadoran father and daughter who were found dead in the waters of the Rio Grande, between America and Mexico, last week.
