D’oh!
Say what you like about Donald Trump’s campaign to become the President of the United States, but nobody can say it hasn’t been interesting.
Rarely a day goes by that something of note doesn't occur on the Trump campaign and today it has emerged that his kids, Ivanka and Eric, won’t be able to vote for him because they didn’t register in time.
Such a revelation might not be a huge deal were it not for the fact that Ivanka has been particularly prominent in urging other Americans to get out and vote for her father, including in a video which went out in January.
Explaining his kids’ mishap on Fox and Friends this morning, Trump said: “They had a long time register and they were, you know, unaware of the rules and they didn’t, they didn’t register in time.”
“So they feel very, very guilty, they feel very guilty, but it’s fine,” he added.
“I mean, I understand that.”
