A Donegal man has issued a warning to thieves after he had 100 bags of turf stolen from his bog in Barnesmore, Donegal.
Denis Callaghan returned to his bog on Tuesday to find that 100 bags of his turf had been stolen.
He took to Facebook to vent his feelings about his loss:
"I would like to issue a public invite to the dirty rotten lazy bastard's that stole 100 plus bags of my turf," Denis wrote.
"The unbagged ones closest to the road that you walked past will be bagged this evening feel free to collect if you're man enough.
"It could be a one-way ticket to a bog hole of your choice on offer. PS feel free to like and share,” he wrote.
The post has been shared almost 1,000 times and received numerous comments of people reporting the same problem.
We can't imagine that the thieves were foolish enough to take Denis up on his offer.
