More millionaires per capita than Paris, Berlin and Barcelona, according to a new survey.
One in every 40 people living in Dublin is a millionaire, according to a new survey by Spear’s Magazine and WealthInsight.
The survey, referenced in today’s Irish Times, has Dublin in tenth place on a list of European cities with most millionaires per capita, claiming that 2.3% (or approximately 1 in 40) of Dublin’s population are millionaires.
Perhaps not surprisingly, Monaco is at the top of the list with 31.1 of its population classed as millionaires, followed by Zurich (24.3%), Geneva (17.7%) and London (3.4%).
Commenting on Dublin’s position on the list, Head of WealthInsight, Oliver Williams, said: “Most of these have earned their wealth from Dublin’s burgeoning tech scene, which has attracted talent from both Europe and the US.”
