One of the busiest days and nights of the year.
A fire started by a firework landing on the roof of a house in Rathfarnam is just one of the many blazes that have been battled by the Dublin Fire Brigade on Hallowe’en, traditionally one of their busiest days of the year.

Dublin Fire Brigade also have a live map of fires throughout the county, although they say that most bonfires are set somewhat responsibly, well away from houses and public buildings.
Our live map is now up & running. All fires will be assessed. #Halloween

While the account has been active throughout the day, members of the public have been urged to ring 999/112 rather than report fires on Twitter; fingers crossed they won’t have to attend to anything too serious before Hallowe’en is over for another year.
We’re not in a position to log 999/112 calls via twitter. Please ring in. There is no charge to the caller. #Halloween
