CCTV footage has been passed to the Gardaí.

A Dublin Fire Brigade unit came under attack as it sought to extinguish a fire on the North Circular Road on Monday night.

In a post on their official Twitter page, the DFB noted that this was the second incident of its nature to occur in as many days, after a window was smashed at their Swords station on Sunday night.

In a statement, the organisation said: “Firefighters from Phibsborough came under attack whilst extinguishing a fire off the North Circular Road this evening. Fortunately, no injuries to the crew.”

“Attacks are not tolerated and reported to Gardaí,” they added.

The Dublin Fire Brigade further added that there was CCTV footage of the incident, but that it “wouldn’t be appropriate to post” and “has been passed to the Gardaí.”
