They’ve urged people to be careful.
It’s been pretty damn hot as of late, so we expect that people are taking more showers than they might normally do.
But the more the more that an electric shower is in use, the more at risk you might be.
The Dublin Fire Brigade have urged people to always turn off power to the shower at the isolation switch when you’re done washing.

They tweeted the warning, and attached an image of a shower in Kilbarrack where a fire was started as a result of a shower fire.
The owners of the home closed the doors on the fire which limited the damage to the bathroom.
It was a busy weekend for the Dublin Fire Brigade, as certain pieces of their equipment were stolen. Some of the equipment has since been returned.
