Thank Christ that the weather is shaping up to be very good over the coming days and as always, we’re expecting a few people to be enjoying the sunshine with a few drinks.
On that note, the Grand Canal in Dublin is bound to be wedged with people however as we’ve previously seen, the amount of rubbish, waste and urine that’s left on the streets in the aftermath is revolting.
If you’re enjoying the sunshine with a few drinks, please clean up after yourself.
In an effort to preemptively deal with any litter, rubbish and waste that’s going to be scattered through the area, The Bernard Shaw pub have a novel idea that will hopefully keep the area clean and thirsts quenched.
As stated on their website, they state that “We’ve been racking our brains trying to come up with an idea for everyone to help keep our beautiful canal tidy when the sun shines…so how about this? Call into the Bernard Shaw, we’ll give you a Brewtonic bin bag, you bring it back full of rubbish you cleaned up from the canal. We will sort you a free pint of one of our Brewtonic beers. Thats it !”
See, even if you manage to only fill up a bag of your own bottles/cans/rubbish, there’s a free pint in it for you.
