Eagles of Death Metal singer wants everyone to have guns after the Bataclan attack in Paris

Carl Kinsella

A very controversial point of view.

Jesse Hughes, lead singer of the Eagles of Death Metal, faced a reality that few of us could contemplate when the Bataclan Theatre in Paris was attacked by terrorists while his band were playing.

Speaking to French TV channel iTELE about the incredibly traumatic event, Hughes has expressed his disdain for gun control laws, saying that “I think until nobody has guns then everybody has to have them.”

Hughes argued that the disaster in the Bataclan may have been prevented had the concert-goers been armed. “Did your French gun control stop a single f*cking person from dying at the Bataclan? I don’t think so.”

The Eagles of Death Metal will play in Paris tonight in what is sure to be an emotional gig in the city’s Olympia Hall.
