One of Ireland’s biggest bookshops was evacuated after a bomb scare on Saturday evening.
Customers were asked to leave the flagship Eason store on Dublin’s O’Connell Street at approximately 5pm today. Armed Gardaí were seen entering the building to search the premises for any explosive devices.
According to The Journal, Gardaí found no bombs as a result of the search and concluded that the threat was a hoax. Staff were allowed to re-enter the building at around 5:30pm.
