Eastenders spin-off featuring Kat and Alfie will to be set in Ireland

Carl Kinsella

Huge news from the world of soap operas today…

It’s been revealed that Kat and Alfie will be taking up permanent resident in Dunmore East, Co. Waterford as part of an Eastenders spin-off series.

The series will be called Red Water and it will follow Kat and Alfie as they search for their long-lost son in Ireland which, to be honest, almost sounds like a Drake Ramoray storyline from Days Of Our Lives.

“Now is the perfect time to take two of EastEnders’ best loved characters out of their comfort zone as they head to Ireland to search for answers to some very big questions,” said executive producer, Dominic Treadwell-Collins, when speaking to The Sun.

The show is looking for extras, and there will be open auditions on Friday at the Sailing Club, Dunmore East, between 4-8pm as well as The Central Arts on The Quay in Waterford this Saturday from 12-7pm.
