There are a lot of understandably angry folks in England today in the aftermath of the shocking Woolwich attacks, but one innocent energy company is getting undeserved hassle on Twitter.
The Woolwich attack on a soldier yesterday throws up a awful lot of questions of vital importance to the UK regarding security, terrorism and many other deep and dark issues.
One is the role of an organisation called the English Defence League (EDL) a far-right group with a strong anti-Muslim agenda. They took to the streets of Woolwich last night to chant anti-Muslim messages and they clashed with police.
Many folks were not too pleased that the EDL jumped on this situation for publicity and wished to tell them what they thought on Twitter. But rather than contact EDL, they contacted EDF, a very large and well known energy supplier.
So this morning whoever was working the social media gig for EDF had to put countless people straight that they were not in any way involved with the Woolwich protest.
