Five men and two women were injured during the course of the incident.
Gardaí have arrested eight people on Monday (29 November) in connection with a fight which occurred at Tuam Cemetery in Galway.
The incident happened 22 September, requiring 30 Gardaí to break up the “violent disorder” where one man attempted to flee carrying a knife.
Gardaí conducted an operation in County Galway, resulting in the arrest of seven men who range in age from their mid-20s to their mid-50s, and one woman who is in her mid-20s.
They are currently detained at various stations in the Galway Division under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
