If you live in or have been passing through Kildare recently, it could be you.

One lucky Irish Euromillions ticketholder got a perfect early Christmas present on Friday night as the sole winner of the Ireland-only Euromillions Plus draw, worth a cool €500,000.

The National Lottery have revealed that the ticket was bought in Kildare but haven’t specified exactly where in the county it was purchased, so if you live there or have been passing through and bought a ticket in recent days, get checking those numbers pronto.

The winning numbers in the Euromillions Plus draw were 3, 10, 37, 48 and 50 and as well as one winner of the top prize, there were 79 Irish winners of €2,000 for matching four numbers and well over 3,000 winners of €20 for matching three numbers.

Once again, there was no winner of the main Euromillions jackpot, which was worth a little under €126.5 million on Friday night; the biggest prize claimed by an Irish winner on the night was €231, won by 31 Irish ticketholders for matching four numbers and one Lucky Star.

For reference, the winning numbers in the main draw were 25, 30, 31, 42 and 50. The Lucky Stars were 2 and 11.
