Ever had a J1 visa? The US Embassy wants you to join them for a free open day

This is not a scam, they just want to tell you all about the opportunities the US has to offer. Honest.

This is not a scam, they just want to tell you all about the opportunities the US has to offer. Honest.

According to a report in the Irish Times, the US Embassy has extended an invitation to over 150,000 Irish people to come along to an event in the RDS next week. Anyone who ever availed of a J1 can attend the event for free, where a number of workshops on the US will be held.

As the ad for the event on Eventbrite says: “Workshops will cover a variety of topics including understanding U.S. visas, studying in the United States, strategies for setting up business in the United States, insider tips on travel trends, and coaching on professional networking.”

Considering the amount of possible attendees, and the many various careers they have gone on to embark on, it should be a really interesting day.

And we’re pretty sure it has no similarity to Springfield’s boat giveaway and those parking tickets you never paid in Ocean City or Huntington Beach. None at all…
