Nearly 4,000 people have supported the campaign so far.
A Facebook campaign has been launched to try and get a song by Eagles of Death Metal to the top of the UK charts in the wake of the attacks on Paris that claimed the lives of 129 people on Friday night.
Eagles of Death Metal were performing at the Bataclan theatre in the French capital on Friday night when gunmen stormed the venue and killed 80 people in what was by far the worst of the shootings carried out across the city.

All of the band members were safe afterwards, but their merchandise manager, Nick Alexander, lost his life in the attacks.
Following on from the events of the weekend, a Facebook campaign has been launched in an attempt to get the band’s song, Save a Prayer, a cover of a Duran Duran original, to the top of the UK charts.
The campaign is urging people to download the song to show “solidarity against terrorism and support for peace”.

At the time of writing, approximately 3,600 people have lent their support to the campaign although the page has already had to respond to accusations of ‘bad taste’ from some commenters.
