“We’ve no water. We just have to do the best we can.”

Following an accident that occurred in the UK, a father and son are now living together on a bus in Cork.

Patrick Walsh and his son Adrian are living in a bus near Blarney after Adrian suffered an injury after falling off a wall while he was in Cardiff.

The two have been living in the bus together for over a year and a half.

Adrian was in hospital for eight months with a broken neck, back and pelvis, as well as a long-term brain injury that still affects him today.

He needs constant care from his father, as he often suffers blackouts following his head injury.

The two of them had been getting support from his mother, who used to bring them food and wash their clothes, but she passed away in May of this year.

Speaking to Patricia Messinger on C103’s Cork Today Show, Patrick Walsh also said that there are no windows in the bus, nor is there running water.

Both are in contact with Cork County Council and Cork City Council to see if they can help them with housing or emergency housing.

He said: “We’re looking for a house… Or someone with a caravan that they’re not using anymore.”

St Vincent De Paul in Cork is helping the pair when it comes to food and more.
