From Manchester United and City to Celtic and Apoel Nicosia, football clubs from around the world have marked the anniversary of one of football’s darkest days.
The football world comes together today to remember the 96 victims of the Hillsborough disaster, killed on this day in 1989 after they went to Sheffield to watch Liverpool play Nottingham Forest in an FA Cup semi-final.
Liverpool themselves, who will hold a ceremony at Anfield today for the victims, posted this on Twitter seven minutes after midnight.
