Contact tracing efforts have been affected by the recent cyberattack.

The Department of Health has been notified of four more deaths related to Covid-19.

Two of these deaths came in May, one came in February and one in January.

There have also been an additional 425 cases of Covid-19 reported in the country.

It comes as the HSE faces disruption from a cyberattack on its servers in what the Minister of State for Public Procurement and eGovernment Ossian Smyth described as “possibly the most significant cybercrime attack on the Irish State”.

The attack has disrupted contact tracing and testing efforts as well as GP referrals.

However, the HSE has said the cyberattack has not impacted the HSE’s vaccination program.
