Four people injured after two cars collide with cow in Clare

The animal died at the scene.

Four people have been injured after two cars collided with a cow in Clare.

The incident occurred shortly after 11pm on Tuesday night on the N18 in Cratloe with emergency services attending the scene.

A Garda spokesperson told JOE: “Two cars are understood to have collided with a cow.”

“Two males in their 40s and two females, one in their 40s and the other in their 30s, were taken to University Hospital Limerick to be treated for their injuries.”

The animal died at the scene from its injuries.

It was removed from the area by animal collection services.

Once the cow was removed, the road was washed down and cleaned and the scene was made safe.
