WATCH: Fox News World Cup broadcast interrupted by “F**k Trump!” chant

Fox News World Cup Trump

He’ll be disappointed with that…

We don’t know where US President Donald Trump watched the final of the Women’s World Cup, but if he was checking out Fox News for some reaction, he certainly got one.

Having previously clashed with USA captain Megan Rapinoe, a vocal critic of the man in the White House, Trump issued a home invitation to the team, win or lose.

In the end, they won in style, defeating the Netherlands 2-0 in Sunday’s final to claim a second successive World Cup and their fourth overall.

It was a headline-grabbing tournament throughout for Jill Ellis’ team, with everything from criticism of their celebrations to Rapinoe’s emergence as a pop culture figure turning heads along the way.

Though their victory shouldn’t be overshadowed, an amusing side effect arrived during a Fox News broadcast live from Lyon in France shortly after the final.

Enthusiastic reporter Greg Palkot hit up a local sports bar to gauge the mood of American fans, only to find more than he bargained for as those gathered instantly engaged in a rousing chorus of “Fuck Trump!” as Palkot did his best to get out of the situation as fast as he could.

“History has just been made!” Palkot began, all smiles.

“We are here in a sports bar in Lyon, France. Listen to it!” he exclaimed.

And listen he, and millions around the world, did.

Scenes, as they say. Check it out below.

Trump, for the record, did issue a hearty congratulations to the victorious team via his Twitter account.

“Congratulations to the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team on winning the World Cup!” he said.

“Great and and exciting play. America is proud of you all!”
