Frankie Boyle continues his hunger strike today, but he will be keeping an eye on what’s going on in the Ulster Final too
There are many things you can say about Frankie Boyle, but his recent campaign to raise awareness of a hunger striking prisoner in Guantanamo shows that he’s certainly got more than just a sense of humour.
As we reported yesterday, he started the campaign in support of Shaker Aamer, the last British detainee who himself has been striking for 150 days.
Today, as he enters day number five of his strike, he decided to recall a few of Ireland’s most famous hunger strikers with this tweet, and certainly grabbed the attention of Twitter:
Today I will watch the Ulster Gaelic Football Final on hunger strike. You don't get much more Irish than that.

He’s also been getting into the spirit with a few bets on the other games today, for some seriously high stakes.
Just bet a Monaghan fella a sheep on the match, so the excitement is building

Although it looks like he’s had plenty of interest so, for now, Boyle’s bookmakers is closed for business.
That's enough bets. I've got 4 sheep and a bag of turf on Donegal and Mayo, let's see how it plays out.
