“I think that’s going to be very painful for families to have to select who can be in the church.”
A funeral director has discussed the difficulties that come with only 10 people being allowed at funerals.
Speaking on Monday night’s episode of Claire Byrne Live, David McGowan discussed how “painful” it will be for families being forced to choose the 10 people who are allowed into a church at funerals.
He said: “I think that’s going to be very painful for families to have to select who can be in the church, who can be at this important ritual.
“It’s very difficult for a funeral director or a church leader to say to a family you have to pick 10 now, your grandchildren will have to be outside the door.
“That’s pretty painful for any family going through the worst loss in their lives.”
McGowan also praised people for becoming more adapt with technology, as a result of the rise of streaming funeral services online.
