A video of a number of cars rampaging around a housing estate has been shared multiple times on social media and WhatsApp.

Gardaí have launched an investigation following the sharing of a video which sees a number of thrillseekers drive recklessly around a Dublin housing estate.

The video shows at least three vehicles rampaging at high speed and repeatedly crashing into each other and other parked cars in the Berryfield housing estate in Finglas.

The group of men who were driving the vehicles also pulled a series of handbrake turns while still in motion. These actions was done while a number of adolescents were present and well within range of the cars.

Towards the end, the cars involved appear quite seriously damaged. The video finishes with a shot of one of the men involved kicking a car window.

JOE got in touch with the Gardaí, who mentioned that they were still on the lookout for witnesses.

“Gardaí in Finglas are investigating incidents of dangerous driving that occurred in the Berryfield area of Finglas on the evening of the 11 May 2018.

“There were no reports of injuries and Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them in Finglas on 01 6667500.”
