The operation unfolded on Tuesday afternoon.
A joint investigation by the Revenue Customs Service and the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau has led to the seizure of drugs with an estimated overall value of over €3 million.
A van was stopped on the afternoon of Tuesday 17 July in Kilbarrack, Dublin, and a 43-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
A number of packages were seized by customs, containing approximately 30kgs of MDMA and 20kgs of ketamine with an estimated value of €3,000,000.
During a follow-up search, an additional 1kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €20,000 was seized at a house in the area.
The man who was arrested has been detained at Raheny Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
