Tragic news from Carlow.
A Garda Síochána search operation for missing man Joseph Savage has been stood down after a body was found on Wednesday evening (13 May).
Gardaí had appealed for assistance from the public earlier today, after the 32-year-old had gone missing from Bagenalstown in Carlow on Monday.
The original statement from the Gardaí had noted that Savage’s family were very concerned for his welfare. A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána has said that no further action is required at this time.
