Gardaí investigating dead body discovered in Dublin

Dublin assault man dies

Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances around the death.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána has confirmed that a man’s body was discovered at around 8am on Sunday morning (16 June), after Gardaí were called out to a house in Stoneybatter. The house was located on Ashford Street.

While the name of the deceased has not been made public, Gardaí have further confirmed that the man was in his 30s.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardai at the Bridewell Garda Station are now investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the man’s death. Investigating Gardaí say the course of the investigation into the death will be determined by the outcome of a post-mortem examination.

The State Pathologist and members of the Garda Technical Bureau are currently at the scene.
