The incident occurred on Saturday evening.
Gardaí from Blanchardstown are investigating the fatal shooting of a male in his mid-30’s.
It is reported that it happened at Blakestown Cottages in Blanchardstown this evening the 22nd of December 2018.
The shooting occurred at approximately 6.50pm.
The male was pronounced dead and his body is currently at scene.
The area has been sealed off for a technical examination and the office of the State pathologist has been notified.
